Here at ShaynaGier.com, I do my best to cater to both readers and writers. Because of my eclectic tastes, I review all genres, and when I review them I keep in mind that not everyone shares my tastes, and do my best to grade each book in a way that allows for my personal opinion, as well as opinions that may not match mine by including details that I loved, and that didn’t like in each review.

As a self-published author myself, I know how much of a pain it can be to get reviews, and to get your book out there. I believe in the greater-good of human kind, and so while I’m figuring things out and getting blog readership out there, I’m letting you, the author, set the price of advertisement. I’m doing this trusting that you will offer me a fair rate, and also benefit by not paying  an arm and a leg for advertising.

So… I suppose there should be a few guidelines, huh?

I’ll only accept standard-sized ads- mainly shown in the sidebar to the right. If you want a bigger ad, I do expect that your bid for the ad is a little higher than if you asked for a 125X125 ad.

If you aren’t good with photoshop, I do have some resources and can design your ad for you- again, I would expect a larger bid for this service, as not only am I being paid for the space, but the time it takes me to put your ad together. You’d be responsible for telling me what you want on the ad/a vision of the ad, as well as graphics.

Ads are on a by-month basis. If you want to buy a 6 month ad, then I would allow for a discount. As such, please contact me saying what the base price-per-month you’d be willing to pay is, and I’ll discuss a discount further after that.

I reserve the right to barter back and forth with you over a price if I think it’s a total rip-off on my end. I hope to not have to, as I said I’m an author myself and I promise to be reasonable.

If you would rather paid for a picture of you and your fiancee at the Eifel Tower on Christmas instead of adspace for your book- that is fine. An ad on Shaynagier.com does not necessarily equal endorsement. Paying for an ad will not guarantee you a positive review, nor improve your chances of getting one. It also will not make me rush your review.

All that sound alright? I will be editing this when I get a feel for what you’d like to pay, setting prices up, but for now this is what I’m deciding to do.
